Floors Castle International Horse Trials Sponsored by The Malcolm Group

A fantastic weekend of competition unfolded on  the 11th – 15th of May within the spectacular grounds at Floors Castle, Kelso.

The competition kicked off with the de Burgh Wine & Kinloch House Hotel CCI3*S and the Cazenove Capital CCI2*S on Thursday. The dressage took place on the front lawn of the castle. A peaceful and stunning location with tailcoats and beautifully turned out horses made a great combination.

The MKM Building Supplies arena hosted the BYEH 4yo & 5yo classes.

On Friday the International classes completed the show jumping and cross country. Oliver Townend and Crazy Du Loir took the lead in the CCI3*S to win closely followed by Kimberly Cecere and Landmarks Monaco.

Townend had a successful weekend winning the Cazenove Capital CCI2*S on Finley Du Loir.

NSEA classes took place in the MKM Building supplies arena on Friday and Saturday.

The Horse Trials welcomed a fantastic crowd of spectators who enjoyed a great day out of competition, local trade stands and sunshine.

Classes ranged from Novice to BE80 including the U18 classes over the weekend. The introduction of the BE80 was a success giving more competitors the opportunity to gallop in front of the prestigious Floors Castle.

The J.S Main arena hosted the dog show on both Saturday and Sunday with breeder & family fun classes. A busy arena in the afternoon with classes including the waggiest tail and the most handsome dog!

A massive thank you to all sponsors including title sponsors The Malcolm Group. Long standing supporters of the Scottish Eventing circuit, it was fantastic to have Fiona and Nicola competing in the BE100 on Sunday.
